T is for Trevor

Trevor William is my nephew, but I consider him my 3rd child. I have babysat for him since he was 3 weeks old. Starting on Mondays when I didn't have class and then when he was 7 months old I started watching him full time and have had him ever since (except for 8 months last year when he needed more structure in his day and went to preschool/daycare full time) I was so happy to get him back! When he was a baby and I watched him on Mondays, we would nap together on the couch and hang out in the laundry room with him sitting in his seat on the dryer so he would stop crying. When I started watching him full time, I would spread a blanket out on the floor and he would sit there happily playing and watching the other boys run around. He would jabber and wave his arms around like he was preaching, so we called him "the Reverend Trevor William".He is a funny little kid with a soft voice and a big heart. He loves chocolate milk and water what gramma makes (crystal light in a bottle). He only eats the frosted part of his donuts and eats his pizza upside down. He has become a excellent swimmer but doesn't like the back float because the water tickles his ears. When I tell him I love you he says I muff you to! I love it in the mornings this summer when he comes and it's just me and him before Jack and Emma wake up. Then we have time for snuggling and watching cartoons ;) I am so happy that he and Jack are only 5 months apart, they are so close and want to do everything together. I hope they will always be the best of friends!

Garden

Today my flower garden in the back yard was finally completed! Thank you so much to my Aunt Sue for all her hard work!!!

A busy day

The kids were up bright and early this morning and we got out day started immediately. I was busy trying to get some stuff listed on craigslist, while they were eating breakfast and watching cartoons. Before I knew it they were escaping outside and Jack was over harassing the neighbor. We decided to go to the farmers market with Aunt Sue and Amanda, so we got all ready and headed down town. The market was packed, but great! So many yummy foods, beautiful flowers and cute things to look at. We all got some of our favorite enchiladas that we got hooked on last year, and headed home. We played outside and waited for this gal to come buy the old double stroller. 12:45 "I'll be there is 15minutes" 2:45 still haven't heard from her. Seriously, have some respect for others lady. Do you want to stroller or not. I had like 5 other e-mails today wanting it but she had to waste my time with her nonsense. She claims she is coming tomorrow. I am selling it to someone else. Laid Emma down for a nap and Jack went to Gavin's baseball game. So, I cleaned a little (very little) set up online bill pay for the 4 bills I still mail a check to and took a nap!! It was GLORIOUS! I love naps ;) After he got home we did some more playing outside and swimming of coarse. When I put Emma's swimming suit on she yelled HURRAY!!! and went running for the pool. That girl is so sweet! Dad and Mom brought Chinese over for dinner and sat with the kids while I mowed the yard. After that I gave the kids a bath, and got them ready for bed. Cleaned up for the night, hunted for my cell phone (I left it out side) and now I am getting in the shower and passing out. Whew! What would I do if I didn't have two energized kids to keep up with all day? I can't even remember what that was like. I am so thankful for the busy-ness in my life.
Thank God for them!

A New Day

It is 6:45 on Saturday morning, why do I have 2 sweet little kids and a hyper dog jumping on me ready to be up for the day? Wouldn't they like to sleep in? We have been getting up at 6:15 all week, aren't they tired? I guess the answer is NO. Judging from all the toys littering my living room floor and noise coming from there. Speaking of my floor, for the last weekish, I step in something wet every time I walk through the living room. EEEWWW! What is it? Did someone spill? Did Emma pee? Did the DOG pee?? UUUGGG! My carpet and furniture are ruined. To quote my Dad who quotes his dad, "When you have kids, that's all you have" And my brother who said "This is why we can't have anything nice" and Cassie who said "You just can't make this stuff up" You are all so right!

On a funny note, last night our neighbors Bob and Jolene (mostly Bob) had a great time setting the kids on his motor cycle and taking pics of them. They enjoyed Emma in her Dorothy dress up dress and sleeping beauty dress up shoes. WITH, a couple tattoos on her arm! Priceless! Pics to come soon! :)

Emma Visits Gamma

Here is the story my mom told after watching Emma the other day:

My Emma story. She stayed with me while the boys had swim lessons this morning. I have these flash cards that she brought to me off of the desk. She sat on my lap and I ask her what each thing was and what color. She did really well with what the object was, but colors she really hasn't mastered, except I can tell you her favorite is purple. When we were done she wanted to hold the cards, so that was fine. She went and climbed up in the rocker in the computer room and got her cards all straightened out and pretty soon I hear, "Gamma" and I turned to look at her and she was holding up a card and said "what's this"!!!! I did all of them she ask me. It was so cute. She really thought she was a big girl! Later she was trying to carry the booster seat out of the room but Charley was laying in the doorway and she was having a hard time, so I ask her if she needed help. Yes, she said. So I took it from her and said where are you going? TV, was her response. So I turned around to set the booster seat back in the room, and she says, no, no, no. I said you want to sit in this to watch TV? "YES", she said so I took it out in the living room. I proceeded to turn on PBS and she was going through all the movies. I went and set down and finally she brings me the CARS movie. Well I knew her Mom would be back shortly, so I didn't want to start a movie. Then all at once some show she likes came on so she sat her little booster seat directly in front of the TV and enjoyed PBS until her much loved Mommie got here. She was a very good little girl.

Daily Dose of Cuteness

Emma and I were playing in the living room when she started looking tired and ready for bed. I asked her are you ready to take a bath? She perked right up and said YEAH! She threw her paci and blankie across the room and went running for the bathroom shouting hurray! With her arms in the air and everything. It was so cute!

I have a 5 year old

I can not even believe I am saying those words out loud... 5 years old.... How did this happen? He is no longer and baby and I am realizing my time at home with him is only going to be the rest of this summer and then he is in school full time! YIKES!

About Jack:

Born May 25th, 2004 at 2:07 pm. He was 8lbs 7oz and 21in long. He came out looking nothing like I expected. Light brown hair and the bluest eyes. He cried all the time! The only thing that quieted him was the vacuum cleaner, in fact I went online and bought a CD of it and we played it all the time. Before I knew it he was 6 months old and the cutest baby with the biggest smile. He loved Elmo and hated taking his breathing treatments.

When he turned 2 he loved to watch "pooh pigic" (Winnie the pooh) he was so sweet and very busy.

Then he was 3 and full blown in to CARS... everything was CARS, he even got a new big boy room decorated by his daddy in Cars, just the way he wanted it. He was beginning to give up his naps and made some very interesting messes while in his room "napping".

Next came 4 he was big time in to Thomas, but hadn't lost his love cars. He got a new Thomas table and had collected almost all the trains and could tell you what he had and what he didn't. All of the sudden he was a little boy not a baby, he wanted to watch Sponge Bob instead of Dragon Tails, and likes Spiderman, and Monster Trucks. He has an imagination that will take him to a whole new world and the best sound effects ever. He has a heart of gold and is the apple of my eye. He loves his sister, but teases her from time to time. He loves to swim and has gotten very good at it. Loves to be outside driving his hummer, riding his bike or scooter. I thank God every day for letting me be his mom and bringing him into my life. I tell me friends without kids, I can't wait until you have kids so you can know a love like this. I love him so much it hurts. I can't wait to keep watching my little bear grow and learn knew things. He amazes me everyday. I love the stories he tells and am trying to remember all of them so I can tell him how cute he was when he was little.

Happy 5th Birthday Baby Jack.

I love you SO MUCH!

How could I?

Have written my Friday A-Z and forgotten that L stood for my LC?? She will also answer to Lisa, Seesa.... and if I remember right Dahrm and Wada.. (from high school)

My days would be so long and boring with out my darling Seesa. I always look forward to our time on FB and the occasional wine drinking in the evenings. Lisa and I have known each other since we were in first grade brownies together. Became better friends in Middle school while slumber partying at Cari Grows house and flipping the bed, remained friends through high school and then lost touch. Until the power of the internet brought us back together... and now we are life long friends :)

So L does stand for Lucky, but it also stands for Lisa :)

I'm Tired

tired of so many things.

  • I am tired of dieting and seeing no results. I am starving all the time and drink enough water to go swimming in. I am walking (sometimes jogging) almost every night. What the heck, can I loose a few lbs or at least have my clothes fit a little looser?

  • I am tired of the kids fighting, just get along with each other. Is that really so hard. Share the stupid thing and don't cry about it.

  • Tired of potty training, stop peeing your pants Emma! You know what to do, just do it.

  • tired of having a million things I need to get done and never getting them done. I am either always with a child on my lap or to stinkin tired to do it.

  • Tired of cleaning up MESSES

Things I am tired of hearing:

  • Jack Jack do? Emmas adorable way of tattling on Jack

  • Get after him Aunt Tori. Trevors way of tattling on Jack

  • Oh, ya...? I'm gonna hit him

  • Can we go to Chuck E Cheese?

  • I can do whatever I want.

  • Can he do whatever he wants?

  • NO!

Here is what I am not tired of:

  • The big bright smiles from the kids.

  • I love you mommy.

  • Hugs and kisses.

  • Stinky sweet breath in the morning.

  • snuggling with my kids.

  • bright blue eyes

  • watching them play (when they are getting along :) )

I am so blessed and love my kids more then anything in this world. I just needed to vent. Just so you know while writing this little blog, I broke up 3 fights and cleaned up one glass of spilled milk and a bowl of cantaloupe..... If my husband ever tells me all I do it sit around with the kids all day again.... I swear.

Out of the mouth of Jack

Last night while laying in bed:
Jack : BIG SIGH
Me: Whats wrong Joey?
Jack: I had a rough day.
Me: Why?
Jack: Remember when you yelled at me?
Me: Silently fighting back a laugh..

Could it be?

That I have nothing to obsess over? It seem like I always have something, redecorating, flowers, organizing something... But no, I think I don't have anything to do except be a mom/housewife.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somebody pinch me. Thanks to Aunt Sue (a BIG thanks) my flowers are done. No more shopping, looking, planning they are all planted and finished. I guess that's why I started potty training Emma. I need something to obsess over :) Although this doesn't require me planning, shopping, thinking all the time.... It just requires me taking her to the potty and washing a sink full of potty pants at the end of the day :)

On a different note, Emma is in the living room dancing with Lucy. She has her little paws up in her hands and is swaying back and forth to the music. Now they stopped for a drink, Emma gave Lucy one too!
I want to remember this forever.

One more thing I want to remember forever is my adorable niece Julia pointed to her butt and told her mom look mom I found a finger hole... Sophia found one the other day but it was up further....
I will leave you with that little bit of hilarious kid stuff for now :)

Thankful Thursday

I am living the dream & have so much to be thankful for here goes my Thankful Thursday blog:
Family~ Best ever, just tonight my brother planted my rose bush and my hydrangea without me ever asking :) thanks big brother!
The new Casey's~ They just built a new Casey's a stones throw from my house. It is in the same spot the old one was in but it is a whole new level now. My kids love it, I love it.... can't get any better :)
Strawberry Margarita nail polish~ I painted my toes and fingers with this delightful shade of pink tonight. It is adorable :)
Facebook~ It is my connection to the outside world during the day. I IM people all day long. It is how I stay sane with 3 little monsters. :)
The 3 little monsters that need me all day~ I never knew a love like this. Those kids are the sweetest day brighteners ever.
My new cell phone~ not dropping calls, texting and internet. Life is good! :)
Being able to find the simple joys in life is what makes a person happy. It is the little things that matter, and make life a whole lot happier.

whew

It seems that with the nice weather comes no time at home. Yesterday I took the boys to school, went and got groceries put them away quickly picked up Aunt Sue so we could go get shoes for the wedding... Davids wasn't open so I went to Alltel and FINALLY got my new phone!!! Hooray! Aunt Sue sat in the car with Emma for the 45min-1hr I was in there. (they need to do something about the wait time there) went back to Davids, (still not open) and back to get the boys. Ok so morning is gone and I only accomplished one thing, my new phone. Good thing that was a big thing on my list :)
Once home lunch and playing outside. And of course I needed to catch up with my FB friends :) Right after we finished lunch, we walked down to the neighbors so I could cut her hair. Got that done and had to meet a guy (yes guy) who was buying my maternity bridesmaid dress off craigslist. Stopped at Alltel, to make sure they did what I asked them. Since someone from Alltel called Jeremy and told him I upped the cost of my plan to $79.99 (don't think so) Stopped at Walmart with all 5 kids (my 3 and my neighs 2) to buy a highlighting kit for my neighbor. And back home with 3 STARVING kids :) Made a huge snake that turned into dinner, gave Charley a bath before my parents came to pick him up, went for my walk/jog back home for some driveway play time and inside to put the monsters to bed.... Think I am done... Nope, then my neighbor came over so I could highlight her hair for her. She left at 10 and I showered and collapsed in bed. WHEW I am tired just writing all this. Today I am staying at home playing with the kids and cleaning house.
On the plus side, I got my new phone and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I changed my plan to include unlimited texting and internet.... No more grandma phone for me :) HOORAY!

I live in a ZOO

Ok, so tonight when it was time for bed I was physically exhausted.... but my mind had other things in store... I had a busy day full of nothing in particular... Jeremy left for working out of town about 6 so that started my day... Got all the kids ready dropped off my boys at preschool, took my mom to the hospital for her sinus surgery, took my nephews to school (well really to their house so they could be big and ride their bikes) followed them close behind to make sure they made it to school. Went flower shopping, arranges flowers, picked up boys, made lunch, played, went to pick up mom and get her settled, played at the neighbors, toook kids on an adventure to Casey's (mama needed a iced coffee :) ) neighbors came over, made super, took kids for a walk/jog (a little better then last night) kids bed, shower............AAAHHHHH......bed time for me. I am so tired..... right? I am wired. Could be the iced coffee I slammed at 5... who knows. So I catch up on Y&R and conk out....for 2 hours......nope I am wide awake. Lucy is laying at my feet licking herself and driving me nuts. FINE, I need to catch up on some other shows... 2 hours later... still awake. The pile of Emma's pictures have been on my dresser needing to be sorted and put in her book for 6 months now, I guess I will do that. (Pictures, that is a whole other blog)
So here I am at 3AM wide awake. As I was sitting here I heard all this ruckus coming from the bedrooms I went down the hall and found Lucy in the bath tub drinking from the bath toys. See, I live in a ZOO.

Yard Work

Since spring is finally here we are able to start working in our yard! Last spring my Aunt helped me get the front all done so now year after year I just have to plant the same stuff in the same spot. Easy... Kinda... I might want to trying something different this year. I go to the store and there is so many pretty flowers to choose from how can I ever decide? So I have:
  1. Hanging basket on porch
  2. Pot on porch
  3. Arch pot holder (3 small baskets)
  4. Whisky barrel
  5. 2 pots one on either side of the garage

I got pink inpatients for the hanging basket and the arch planter. And a geranium for the whisky barrel. Now I have to decide on the pots in front by the garage. They are the most important b/c they are front and center. I want something bright and pretty.... pink for sure.. Gerber daisy's? I love them but they are $$$$ maybe just vinka. They are hardy and pretty and they come in some really pretty pinks :) For the pot on the porch, it gets no sun so I almost have to go with inpatients, but I love those so no biggie.

On to the back yard, This weekend Jeremy tilled up the flower bed and put new landscaping bricks around it. It looks great! I can not wait to fill it with beautiful flowers :) My Aunt gave us a hydrangea bush for Elizabeths birthday to plant in her memory. So I will get that put in and I got a pink rose bush the other day to put in there as well. Then I just need a couple other perennial things to put in there and I am done with that flower bed. I still have a small area around our tree in back to fill with something and want to set some pots with flowers on the deck.

I am so happy spring is here. I love looking at pretty flowers all summer. Somehow thick green grass and bright flowers everywhere make the world a little brighter :)

I can

I can do many things. And with Jeremy being away so much my list keeps getting bigger.
Yesterday I went grocery shopping with all 3 kids, went to scheels and got a double jogging stroller came home and put it together (i know all by myself :) ) Went flower shopping (with all 3 kids :) ) came home planted the flowers and mowed the yard. My Aunt stopped by to see my work and pulled my flowers right out... I guess I need to work on the planting of flowers if I want to put it on my list of "I can".....
So I tried out my new jogger last night..... The stroller is AWESOME!! Best double stroller I have ever pushed. (why did I ever wast my time with that old bus??) So I jogged over to my brothers (1/2 mile)... by the time I got there I thought I was going to throw up.... seriously I was gagging.... It's going to take a while to add runner to my "I can" list. :)
