Christmas (EVE) Morning
Since we have to travel on Christmas eve and are not home on Christmas morning, Santa comes to our house on Christmas eve morning. The kids were so much fun this Christmas and I just love getting everything ready for them. I had a mini melt down while setting up Thursday night when I realized that my mom picked me up 2 PINK mp3 players the day after Thanksgiving instead of a pink and a red. I ran over to Walmart and wouldn't you know it they didn't have anymore red so I had to get black for Jack, but he didn't seem to mind ;)

Santa Claus is coming to town
This same Santa and Mrs. Claus have been visiting our family since I was a little girl. The kids love it and it is so much fun to have a personal Santa for our family! We had a blast that Sunday at the Burt's celebrating Christmas with our "little family" meaning just my parents and their kids and grand kids. All 20 of us! :) We were all spoiled way to much as always! Jack got a set of Lincoln logs, the white leopard webkin he has been dying for and a new wii game. Emma got a barbie case filled with barbies, a snow white dress and princess hop scotch mat. What a perfect start to the Christmas festivities!

Coffee Punch
I got this amazing recipe from LC , made it for Christmas and it was so so good! I might recommend brewing extra strength coffee. I know it says strong but if you want the coffee taste you really need to make it extra strong.
You Will Need:
1 Quart cold strong brewed coffee
(best if made the night before and let chill in fridge over night)
1/2 Gallon good Vanilla Ice Cream (in chunks)
1 Quart Whole Milk
1 Pint 1/2 &1/2
1 16oz. Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
1 Small container Cool Whip
Mix all together in punch bowl and serve after stirring a few minutes.
Enjoy!

My newest addiction
AMERICAN GIRL. Need I say more!? Last year for Christmas my parents gave Emma her first AG doll, the dark hair bitty twin. She has taken exceptional care of it and knows it is a very special doll. So this Christmas she got the blond hair boy twin so she has a complete set, mirroring her and Jack. On Christmas day her cousins brought their new like me dolls from AG and Emma had a blast playing with them. Since her birthday is coming up, I thought maybe now was a good time to get her "the doll". I was back and forth on wanting to take her to the AG store (when would we do this!?) to pick her doll or just order it for her. I went online to pick her doll and the one that looks like her is on back order until the end on January. Shoot! It wont be here in time for her birthday. So I called the company and they found me the very last one and only doll that looked like Emma at the Chicago store and will be shipping it in the next week!!!! :) I am super excited for her to get this doll. I have been online shopping for matching dress for her and the doll to wear in her 4 year pics all morning. Anyone know someone who would make me some inexpensive doll clothes for her AG family??
I obsess. I know this.
But its so much fun!!!!

eeeeeeeeeeee
This is me squealing after I opened my Christmas gift from J and the kids.
Jerem and I don't do big Christmas gifts. I always try to get him something small, like clothes, a movie, video game or something. He usually gets me something, but not always. It really isn't a big deal to me either way. I don't need gifts, I just enjoy giving them to people. So about a week ago I decided I wanted to get a mothers ring for Christmas, I went and picked it out, got everything written down and planned to give the card to J. I told him about my plan and he said, well I think you should open your Christmas gift now in case you want to return it. I said NO! I will not want to return it (even though I was a little worried, I'm picky, and want to love what he gives me but sometimes...well.... he is a man ;) ) Anyway, he kept telling me to open it early and I kept refusing. I tried to shake the box and see what it was, but I couldn't figure it out. On Christmas morning I opened my gift and was SHOCKED at what I found, a three stone diamond ring!! I was so excited, but instantly wondered, how did we afford this and how did you pay for it?? Since we don't have credit cards and I watch the checking account like a hawk, I knew it hadn't come from there. Then he reminded me of the months when he was traveling and I was constantly getting on him about all the cash he was withdrawing and where he was spending it... he had been saving for months! He also threw me off by wrapping the small ring box in a big printer box so I wouldn't be able to tell what it was. I am so excited about this ring, because he picked it out himself and I truly love it!
