Cheesecake Filling

Have you ever seen this ready to eat cheesecake filling? Well I never had, until Sunday night.
My Aunt Sue and I went to the grocery store to get food for our bbq. I was just going for potato salad and fruit... But when Aunt Sue gets food for a BBQ we get all the good stuff. Anyway I am sure that I have gained about 20 pounds since Sunday when we started eating this. Sunday night we ate it with strawberries and cream puffs. Then yesterday I broke out the graham crackers and the kids and I dipped those in. I need to throw the tub away, but just can't waste the deliciousness!

Alltel part 2

Tonight I went into Alltel knowing that something had to be done about my phone problems. On the way I am praying God, please let them get me right in, please let my kids behave, please let them fix my phone troubles for no cost to me. Not sure what God has planned for me but it isn't what I was thinking at all. I go in and the place is packed, I put in my name and they tell me it will be about an hour. I ask if I can leave and they say yes but if we come to you and you are not here you will be skipped over. No problem, the wait is always longer then they say. So I ran to Walmart to get a few things and picked up my Aunt Sue so she could sit with the kiddos. Get back 45 minutes later and they had skipped me. The wait would be about 25 minutes now. I was pisses and so was Aunt Sue. She went in a loudly told them she was sick of this and they needed to stop jerking me around. Then she came out and got me and both kids and we all waited in there for my name to be called. They said 25 minutes but it was more like 45. When it was our turn we got a very nice rep who told us that my only option was to send it in for a new phone of the same model. That isn't what I want. The phone is poorly designed and isn't working for me. So my other option is to pay full price for a new phone $250-$500 or break my contract with Alltel $250 and sign up with Verizon.
I want none of those! I want them to let me keep my contract which I am very happy with and can afford and get a new phone at the discounted price. But I guess that is to much to ask. The best part is that a manager can over ride the contract if they see fit, but the manager did not and would not do it.
Why do they have to make things so difficult? Do they not realize that they would be getting much more business if they didn't screw with people?
O-well, if this is the worst of my worries, I am one lucky girl!

To cheer my self up and help me relax I gave myself a mani/pedi. Pink nails always make me feel better :)

Ps. I really like my phone, just wish it would work!

Dear Dish Washer

Dear Dish Washer,
Is it too much to ask that my dishes be clean and dry when I open it after a washing cycle? By clean I mean the little stopper things that go in my kids sippy cups, no crusty nasty chocolate milk left in them that makes them look like they have some kind of disease. By dry I mean I do not want to have to get a towel and hand dry everything as I pull it out. That is defeating the purpose. Just a small request...

Alltel

As many of you will remember about a month ago I finally got a new phone. I was so excited I was finally going to have a phone that worked! Over the last month I have had many complaints that people can't hear me or understand me on my new phone. I sound muffled or really loud they say. It also get horrible reception in my house. So I am still dropping calls and breaking up during conversations. This is the only phone I have. I use it all the time. I need it to work perfectly. This is so frustrating! My sister tells me that I can go to Verizon and get a new, better phone and switch over to them with no fees to me. OK, that is great! It will solve my problem without having to go in to the mad house Alltel store ever again! Yippee! So I ran to Verizon, and they tell me there is nothing they can do for me because of where I am at in my contract. If I had come a week earlier they could have helped me. OK, back to square one. So I go over to Alltel, which always has a wait of at least a half hour. Sit there texting Jeremy who says you know they aren't going to help you. They are going to say you are under contract and there is nothing they can do about it. I agree he is probably right. So rather then sit there for 45 minutes I came back home and called them. Pushed all the buttons and got to where I needed to hold for 5 minutes to talk to a rep and low and behold, CALL LOST! That was it the end of my rope, I called Jeremy and begged him to call them for me. I can not deal with this anymore! He will call today and I am hoping and praying that they will replace my phone with one that works!
UUGGG! Stupid cell phones... STUPID STUPID STUPID! BUH!

Traumatized

I am traumatized by what I saw in my living room last night. I let the dog out to do her thing while I was watering flowers. I noticed that she was taking a long time to poop, but didn't think much of it. Then I brought her inside and she was trying to drag her butt. So I put her back outside so she could finish her business. A while later when I brought her back in I thought I better give her butt a check to make sure the poopie was gone. Then I saw it, a shoe string sticking out of her butt. OMG OMG OMG!!!!! Knowing I have to do something, I call my brother and tell him whats going on and ask him to stop by. Thank God he was a block away and able to come right over, because what happened next is burned into our memory forever! I held the dog down while he grabbed the end of the string. She was totally freaking out, yelping and squealing and trying so hard to get away. Finally I thought he was done and I let her go. Oh but wait, he wasn't. The dog took off across the room and the string wrapped around my body touching my arm and leg. Remember that this string came out of my dogs butt. It was wet and nasty. I hadn't been feeling well all day anyway and that put me over the top. I was gauging and almost didn't make it through. By the time it was all said and done my brother was laughing so hard he could barely breath. The string that came out was 5 feet long. And that is not an exaggeration! Literally 5 feet long. The dog appears traumatized as are all the people who witnessed it. The boys are still talking about it this morning. Good lord!

A Wonderful Wedding Weekend

This weekend was my cousin Matt's wedding. Jack was the ring bearer, I was a bridesmaid and Jeremy was an usher. We got up at 5:30 on Friday morning to get ready and finish packing. When we got Emma out of bed and her pull up was dry! She happily went in to the bathroom and went potty, she didn't wet her pants the whole rest of the day. Every stop we made she pottied. Interesting that she picked a 7 hour road trip an a busy wedding weekend to finally potty train. The drive was very long but the kids did great, no whining and complaining, and no are we there yets! We arrived at our hotel in time for the guys to try on their tuxes and the little kids to go swimming. We went to rehearsal that evening and had a great time. I went to bed while some others stayed up far too late and drank way to much! (hehim...Tadd)

Tadd resting in the church before the wedding

Saturday morning started early, I got my hair done at 8:30. I was really nervous about getting it done by someone I didn't know or pick myself, but luckily she did a great job! My hair looked awesome. (It better have for $50) (oh, yeah ladies I said $50). Then I rushed back to the hotel to curl my sisters hair and Emma's. Then off to the church to get ready. Before I knew it, we were walking down the isle. Jack took some persuading, but did make it down the isle and sat entertainingly by my feet during the ceremony. We road a limo bus to Story Book Land after the wedding and took some cute pictures. Then onto the reception. We had a great time! Jeremy took the kids up to the room early so I could stay and dance the night away. So fun, but man oh man did my feet hurt in the morning. My shoes, while very cute, murdered my feet.

Sunday morning came far to soon. We ate breakfast and said our goodbyes. Then on the road again. This drive was much longer... or so it felt. And the kids weren't quite as happy to ride the 7 hours. We got home about 4 and we were all exhausted. But as you know, coming home from a trip is a mess. Unpacking putting away, and for us picking up our dog. The kids and I ran over to get them from the "doggy motel" and they were COVERED in pee. It was like they had been laying in it all weekend. So back home we came so I could bathe and blow dry both dogs before Charlie went back home to my parents. Needless to say, we all collapsed into bed and slept great. So there it is, we have planned and waited for this weekend for 1 1/2 and now it's been and gone.... Now we are left with the beautiful memories.

Congrats to the newly weds!

Fake

OK so I like fake things... Fake hair color, fake tan, fake nails... But I got myself some KISS press on nails the other day after seeing them advertised numerous places. I even looked them up on the Internet first to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. So this afternoon while the kids were napping I glued them on. It was easy and went fast... BUT I made a huge mess with the glue and had it all over my hands... it took me forever to get it cleaned off, I even cut my finger while trying to get the cement (glue) off. But after it was all said and done they looked GREAT!!
Fast forward to tonight. We are laying in bed and they are driving me nuts. I can't stop picking at them. Finally one pops off. Jeremy said just get up and rip them all off you know you'll never go to sleep until you do. So I got up picked them all off pretty easily and with no damage to my real nails. Cleaned it up and painted them red.
So I guess that while I like fake things some of those things I just can't stand.

HOORAY!

The DISH guy came today to fix our problem...He said the tree was blocking the signal and the dish would have to be moved from the roof to a poll on the side of the house. So that is a super easy fix and makes the Dish less visible anyway! The best part is that he didn't charge us anything! He said it was the techs fault and there was no charge for moving it! Hooray!

Sweetness

While we were playing outside the other day my sweet little ones brought me this cute bouquet of flowers.
They came from this gorgeous tree in our front yard. It blooms every late spring around the beginning of June. It is so pretty, but a huge mess to clean up!

I've Become That Lady

It is true, I have become that lady in the checkout lane at the grocery store. The one that the single college guy buying only beer, milk, and cereal gets stuck behind.

The other day at the store this really happened. I bought $200 worth of groceries taking me forever the finish up. I had my whole crew with me asking me for everything in the checkout lane forcing me to say "no" in a firm and slightly annoyed voice over and over and over again. I am sure that was a good form of birth control for the guy behind me. I bet he was wishing he had some condoms to go with his beer, milk and cereal.

Who Knew?

I have always said that my mom and sisters prepared me for for everything regarding having a baby. But the one thing that no one ever told me was just how much I was going to love him. Yesterday while our family was singing happy birthday to my (gulp) 5 year old, I was flooded with emotion. Remembering the naive 20 year old standing with her hansom boyfriend looking at a positive pee stick. Those same love birds, holding a perfect baby boy 9 months later with absolutely no clue how much joy and love he would bring them. To colicky nights and fighting him to take breathing treatments. To all of his firsts: steps, words, sound effects :) and so much more. How did this 5 years go by so fast? I know that in a few short months I am going to be walking him to his first day of kindergarten, but isn't he still my baby? Who knew that a happy birthday song could make a mom so happy and so sad :..(

No one ever told me about that.

Arbor Mist

Well dear friends I enjoyed the delightful Arbor Mist wine on Friday night. Unfortunately I enjoyed it a little to much. I downed a bottle and a half and had the WORST hangover in the morning. I will not be doing that again! However, I did have a great night with some wonderful friends to end that long crappy day! It was crappy right up until I started drinking the wine. Here goes the rest of the crappy Friday blog:
Jack is over night at Trevor's so it's just me and Em, my neighbor Jessi and I decide that we are going to cut and hi light her hair. We go to Sally's to get the stuff we need and while there, this DISGUSTING man comes in to doge the police. He smelled SO BAD, I am not kidding I think it might be the worst thing I have ever smelled. I was totally freaked out because the girls working there were screaming and running to the back of the store, and the guy was trying to hide from the cops and I had Emma with me. It was bad enough with just me but putting my little lady in harms way was my limit. I was panicked!! Luckily the cops got freakizoid out and took him away. BARFOLA! Then we come home and I can not find my brush to apply color anywhere. The kids had just been playing with it that morning, where was it?? I still don't know. So we decide I will just cut her hair tonight and color it another time. Wrong!! My scissors fell behind the deep freezer in the garage and I can't get them. That was the last straw and why I drank to much wine.
Oh yeah, and to boot the next day, Emma had nasty butt for me to change several times and my van smelled like a pig farm. I later figured out that Lucy pooped in there Friday night when she got accidentally stuck in there.
Friday was not my day!

This Day!!

Could this day be more annoying? The day started with spills and fights, then off to swimming lessons which were a pointless waste of time. Then I had to RUSH home shove food down the kids and get them over to the neighbors so I could go get my hair done. Come home to tired whiny kids, o-well Jack is spending the night at Trevor's and Em will go to bed early since she had no nap. Tonight will be great, no kids.... me, some wine and TV... Oh but wait the DISH still isn't working right, GREAT!! Then the girl who wanted to buy our Thomas table and accessories came to get it. When she got here I told her that Jack couldn't part with the trains, so I would sell her the table and track for $25 less. She was fine with it and took it all with her then called me back and said her husband said no, unless I gave them the trains. I said no Jack wanted the trains but I would knock off $25 more ($50 total) Nope she wouldn't have it so she brought it all back. Really? You could take that $50 over to walmart and buy a bunch of new trains that are in a lot better shape then the ones you are getting from me. WHATEVER..... So then the icing on the cake is.... Jeremy texts me and says "is it ok if I stay here tomorrow night? The guys I work with want me to come to a BBQ. I will be home at 11 or so on Sunday." Are you freakin kidding me? I texted him back and said the party starts at 12.... and that was all I put. Nice!

Really?

Last night while shopping at south point, I was walking from one store to another and a bird almost flew into me and pooped on me! For real, on my face, hand and shirt. BARFOLA!!

jacks song

Just heard him singing this:
I can talk really well, i am a people, i am a people,
I am a purple, I am a pink.....

Now he is talking to his money..
this kid cracks me up!!

irritating

So for the past few days our DISH hasn't been working. Not the whole thing just a few channels. I thought oh, maybe the weather or something... no biggie. Well tonight I had enough. It is the kids channels that we are having the most trouble with. So I call up DISH on my cell, so the minutes are ticking away. I am on the phone doing various button pushing and so on with 2 very rambunctious kids running around me and we come up with... NOTHING. I need a tech to come out and the will start at $50. Really???? If I was a time warner customer, they would come out the next day for FREE. What ever... I am ticked! Stupid DISH, Stupid everybody. BUH!
